John 15: 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. We have all seen dead looking plants. Yet, as bad as they look, some could still have life in them and if properly cared for, they could be revived. However, if there was one word that could describe the state of a dead looking plant it would be - withering. What would you do if you had a withering plant? Would you try to revive it or would you just toss it in the trash? Did you know that there is such a thing as withering Believers, Believers that are half dead? What do you think God does with withering Believers? According to our Scripture, He gathers them and throws them into the fire (hell). You know you are withering when: You are too comfortable with sin and allow weeds of life to choke all that is good from God. You are too worldly minded and there is no substance in you to grow in the Lord. You are too judgmental and the Holy Spirit rain bounces off your hard critical heart. You are too lazy to soak in the Word and the Holy Spirit rain simply drains off you. You are too busy and preoccupied with yourself to allow the Holy Spirit rain to even affect you. Are you drinking in the rain that God is showering upon you and enjoying the blessings of God and a meaningful and exciting relationship with Messiah Yeshua? Or, are you like a withering plant and have forgotten who is providing the reviving rain. If you are withering, look-out because you are probably beginning to die spiritually!      It is a sad truth, but for many Believers their relationship with Yeshua is withering. Many who first receive Yeshua as their Lord and Savior held on to what they received for a time. They changed a bit for the better from who they were, but over time they began to wither and started going backwards in their relationship with God. If you are one of them, maybe you need to stop withering and start growing!!
